What does this mean?

Today a snail traversed our kitchen window. Like an alien landing we gawked and shot photos. We live on the second floor... that's a very long way to slither for a snail. Certainly scaling such heights debunks any reputation the poor creature has for being lazy! But what does this strange occurrence symbolize? Such things don't happen every day in Queens. It must be fortuitous. We are searching for meaning... maybe a little too hard. But on the brink of big change, its always nice to have a little harbinger of good luck, even in the form of a snail.
